Are the party hostels in Lagos actually worth it or just full of drunk Brits?
I want to meet people and have fun but I also want to actually see the Algarve coast. Do party hostels leave any time for that or is it 24/7 chaos? Thinking of 4-5 nights.

Honestly they're both — yes lots of Brits and Aussies but in a fun way not an annoying way. The good hostels (Rising Cock, Bura Surf) do organised beach trips every morning so you still get to see the coast. The party doesn't really kick off until 10pm so mornings are fine. 4 nights is the sweet spot — enough to explore Ponta da Piedade and Praia Dona Ana but also have a couple of big nights.
